Had the chance of watching the first screening of Cats & Dogs : The Revenge of Kitty Galore yesterday compliments of Smashpop

Sypnosis :
In the age-old battle between cats and dogs, one crazed feline has taken things a paw too far. Kitty Galore, formerly an agent for cat spy organization MEOWS, has gone rogue and hatched a diabolical plan to not only bring her canine enemies to heel, but take down her former kitty comrades and make the world her scratching post. Faced with this unprecedented threat, cats and dogs will be forced to join forces for the first time in history in an unlikely alliance to save themselves -- and their humans
Well, nothing much needed to be said that you would have already thought of when you saw the title. It is a kids movie but it has some redeeming factors. Like the lead dog is voiced by Neil Patrick Harris. The movie also spoofs several older movies, there's the hannibal lecter interrogation scene, rocky montage, some vague james bond scenes and one of the cat's name is "I-Wanna-Scratch-You' reminiscence of Austin Power's Ivana Humpalot.
3D-wise, I didn't watch it in 3-D but I could tell that there wasn't much 3D effects, only in the beginning (during those scenes where they show-off the 3D effects which does not drive the plot at all) and after that it slowly faded away
Not really a movie I would recommend. Unless your kids/nephews/niece begs you to take them to this movie.
2/10 for Adults.
Oh, there's an extra bit before the movie. A rRad Runner and Wild E Coyote short. Did enjoy that more than the movie itself TBH.

Random Bit;
