Sypnosis :

In a world ravaged by a virus infection, turning its victims into the Undead, Alice (Jovovich), continues on her journey to find survivors and lead them to safety. Her deadly battle with the Umbrella Corporation reaches new heights, but Alice gets some unexpected help from an old friend. A new lead that promises a safe haven from the Undead takes them to Los Angeles, but when they arrive the city is overrun by thousands of Undead - and Alice and her comrades are about to step into a deadly trap.

My take;

For the fans of the walking undead as well as the Resident Evil series,though there are some plot holes in the story, it's an enjoyable movie. Maybe I just like watching helpless people getting taken off 1 by 1 in a sadistic manner and being powerless against their demise.Yea, if it isn't obvious by now, I like zombie movies. Though there's a wee bit too much 'matrix' effects but thats to cater for the 3-D effect.

Now lets talk about the 3D effects, I've been against the whole 3-D bandwagon all the while but the effects for Afterlife isn't too shabby. I guess it's more suitable for action movies instead of putting it in disney'esque animation movies.

Oh Wenworth Miller is in this movie, you know...that Prison Break guy. And does what he does best in this movie. Breaking out of a prison.

I expected the main villain to do a team-rocket in the end and blast off in the horizon only to come back again for another week of mayhem but the cliffhanger totally caught me off-guard (Yea, they're making another movie for this series.)

Can't wait to catch the next series. Maybe this time they'll explain why a Pharmaceutical mega-corporations like Umbrella would do such a dick move to infect the entire population with the T-Virus. Which wouldn't make good business sense since an entire world filled with undead wouldn't need any clarinase nor hand sanitizers. And probably explain how anyone could build a ultra deep secret scientific laboratory under a city without half the population noticing it.
