PETRONAS F1 Grand Prix Show Case @ KLCC Concourse

Was invited by PETRONAS last Sunday to their F1 Grand Prix show case at KLCC. A group of us got to see some really expensive and one-a kind cars. As well as a chance to bring home some really awesome prizes.

This showcase was held at KLCC Concourse area, dating from 17th to the 25th of March.

Had a really bad flu before the event and didn't look my best during :/

Some of the merchandises available for purchase

The Mercedes AMG Petronas Formula One Team Car, last years model

The Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG Roadster. Cost : 1.8 Million Ringgit.

The Elevated F1 Cars, a sight to behold

There was also a mini-game called the Speed of Sound.

Which requires you to score the fastest lap time in 3 laps. But how do you play? Well it's not your average racing game. You'll have to use your VOICE and match the pitch in order to go faster (Think Rock Band Vocals).

Had a great time making a fool out of myself by humming engines noises in pitch lol. Which is an impossible task due to the background noises.

After all the fun and games we were led to The Apartment for a dinner pampering session.

Everyone eagerly awaiting for chow

Had a small QnA session with Miss Anita. General Manager of Petronas Motorsports.

Asked her what it takes to be an F1 driver and was told that usually people start really young (like 8 and above) in motorsports and the stepping stone is usually Go-Kart racing, and even professional F1 drivers will use Go-Kart as their practice during off seasons when F1 driving isn't available. And that little hopeful race driver part of me died that evening.

And after awhile we got to getting our food buffet style :

After dinner they had a little prize giving session via quizzing. And the prizes up for grabs were a Samsung Galaxy Note and a Samsung Tab! I was one of the finalist but unfortunately couldn't answer the winning question :( but all is good, I got myself a really nice Mercedes Benz Messenger Bag as a consolation.

The winners of the evening. I jelly max

Fun evening it was, and more so being accompanied by an awesome date :) Also thank you Petronas for inviting us bloggers for this event.
