Red Army Watches Blogger Get-together Session @ Circus Pavilion

An evening that took place at a rather new establishment, called Circus. Located near the pedestrian bridge that interconnects Pavilion and the lot at Novotel.

An evening that hosted around 6 bloggers including myself, we were introduced to Mr. Soemantri Kusumadi, Executive Director of Red Army Watches and also Ms. Julianna Chai, Managing Director of Red Army Watches. Who shared their passion and knowledge for timepieces.
Mr Soemantri shared with us his mantra of keeping timepieces in it's pristine condition, which include :

1) Maintain a timepiece's appearance and durability by using a soft dry cloth to wipe off dirt and sweat from your timepiece's leather strap frequently after a day's wear
2) To reduce or eliminate perspiration that may sometimes lead to skin rashes, wear your timepiece slightly loose on the wrist. For sensitive skin, it is advisable to opt for steel bracelet instead.
3) Prevent leather strap's texture from deteriorating by not soaking it or exposing it to water.
4) Avoid exposing the leather strap from direct sunlight, as it will cause discoloration
5) Store timepiece in well-ventilated area and never keep it in storage when it is still damp

A very good advice for life in general too, which can be applied to alot of things like your spouse or even house pets. If only I would have known point 4 when Mr Squiggles the Roborovski got taken by the sun.

So what is Red Army Watches? It isn't a brand of  watches itself but rather a boutique that carries several brands of watches. Think of it as the Sephora of watches.

We were also introduced to several ranges of timepieces they had :

Bauhaus Junkers 6070-5

A timepiece that gives tribute to two things, German engineer Hugo Junkers, who created the world's first practical all-metal aircraft (which back in the days were made out of paper mache) and the Bauhaus movement. A school in Germany that combined crafts and the fine arts. The anesthetics of Hugo's Junker aircraft was inspired largely by the Bauhaus movement.

The watch carries a domed hesalite crystal giving it that vintage look.

Filet Mignon, would have preferred this as my main course but by the time this arrived I was already quite full.

Much obliged to you for some other educational web journal. Where else would I be able to understand that sort of data written in such a perfect means? I have a mission that I'm a little while ago chipping away at, and I have been at the post for such data. Boccia
