Guinness Amplify : Music Made of More Finale Show Featuring MAGIC! @ KL Live

Two weeks back I attended the Guinness Amplify Finale Show which premiered at the KL Live centre. Always a fan of live music, I took the chance to catch MAGIC! as well as several other local bands that were showing that night, one being DASH headed by Lead Singer Darren Ashley (= DASH! GEDDIT GEDDIT?) with his unmistakably red hairdo.

I must admit I haven't been keeping up with the local music scene lately and it was my first time catching DASH in action. Them being the opener of the night really set the tone of the night as they were the most energetic bunch of the night.

The other local act that night were OJ Law, who showed the audience the unique stylings of 'Banana Indie Soulrocktronica'. Exemplifying the extraordinary nature of all the acts that have been involved in the Guinness Amplify campaign.

After the two acts were done, MAGIC finally came on stage bringing the crowd on a journey through their new album, 'DOn't Kill the Magic' to the delight of fans, before finishing with their debut single 'Rude', which sadly was the only song I knew of them. Though I must say I was tickled fancy with their cover of Cyndi Lauper's "Girls Just Wanna Have Fun" which they played in the middle of their set.

Guinness Amplify: Music Made of More was a brand new music campaign from GUINNESS, Malaysia's favourite black brew, showcasing the talent, passion and dedication of extraordinary acts from Malaysia and further afield.
