Crispy Salmon Skin with Pork Floss (RM5.90)
An appetizer dish to start off the meal, but I felt that there needs to be more pork floss on it
The picture above is just a sample portion, or so I hope
Duo of HK Siew Mai (RM5.90) & HK Carrot Cake (RM5.90)
Well of course they'll be Siew Mai, because any HK restaurants that's worth it's salt will have Siew Mai in it's menu, and I'm glad to report that the Siew Mai from HKSK is definitely worth trying, you can practically feel the juices from the prawn inside the siew mai combusting when biting into it. The carrot cake however felt a bit underwhelming, the skin wasn't as crispy as I'd expected it to be.
SK Signature Combination Noodle (RM16.90)
Looks can be deceiving, however the Combination noodles not only had the looks but tasted really good because of it's right amount of sauce and it's soft 'with-just-the-right-amount-of-fat' Char Siew.
Braised Pork Belly with Mui Choy Rice (RM13.90)
I'm not a fan of vegetables of any variations, however the Mui Choy Rice hits the spot with me (for a person known to be picky with greens especially) though the portion seems to be a tad bit too small if I didn't have all these other foods to try out.
Snowy Char Siew Bun (RM6.90)
Definitely my favorite dish from HKSK, the snowy outsides reminded me of the Hong Kong Polo Bun somewhat and the insides was filled with Char Siew. In fact I enjoyed it so much I consumed at least 3 of it after all the other dishes. I would definitely recommend that you try the Snowy Char Siew Bun.
SK Mango Pomelo Sago (RM8.90)
To be honest, I'm not a fan of Mango oriented desserts. So this didn't really appeal to my taste, though I must say that it wasn't as chilled as what I expected. but as promised, here's how you can get a FREE taste of it :
1) Go to Hong Kong Sheng Kee Dessert at 1 Utama
2) ORDER a main dish (any signatures of whatever)
3) like their facebook page at http://www.facebook.com/hongkongshengkeedessertMY
4) Tell the secret phrase to the staff "Sweetness with Sheng Kee KL" and BAM, a FREE SK Mango Pomelo Sago upon settling the bill
